ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) conducts a wide variety of research, analysing human form and movement. Additional research and development programs are undertaken in support of production processing technology, products and materials.
Structural Design and Functional Evaluation
We conduct product development through structural design and functional evaluation of shoes, apparel, and various other products. Our work includes research and development of experimental and simulation methods, as well as the development of new design methodologies and technologies utilizing digital solutions.
Material Development and Sustainable Research
We specialize in research on rubber and resin compounds, focusing on molding processes and adhesion technologies to enhance shoe component functionality. Our work extends to the development of sustainable materials and production processes.
Human Attribute Research
We conduct comprehensive research analyzing and evaluating various aspects of human characteristics, including sports performance, exercise movements, foot and body morphology, physiological responses, and sensory perception. This fundamental research forms the basis for our applied studies in product and service design.
Data Analytics
We generate valuable insights through comprehensive data management and analysis. Our work encompasses the collection and systematization of experimental and service-related data, creation of proprietary databases, and advanced big data analysis utilizing AI technologies to drive innovation and create new value.
