ASICS AWARDED GOLD FOR SIXTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN THE "PRIDE INDEX 2024"

[November 15, 2024 – KOBE, JAPAN] ASICS has been awarded "Gold" in the "PRIDE Index," an evaluation metric for efforts towards sexual minorities (hereafter referred to as LGBTQ+) in the workplace. This marks the sixth consecutive year of receiving this award.
The PRIDE Index was established in 2016 by the general incorporated association "work with Pride" with the aim of creating a workplace in Japan where sexual minorities, including LGBTQ+, can work comfortably.
This year, ASICS was recognized for several activities, including ongoing internal initiatives to promote understanding over the years, the establishment and public disclosure of a human rights policy not only for its own company but also towards its customers and business partners, along with the following activities:
[Charity Activities through Pride Run/Walk]
To support everyone in experiencing "Sound Mind, Sound Body," irrespective of sexual orientation or gender identity, ASICS held a Pride Run/Walk within the company in June 2024. Donations were made to an NGO promoting awareness around sports for all including the LGBTQ+ community based on the number of finishers. This initiative aims to further promote understanding of the LGBTQ+ community among employees.
[Participation in Joint Communities with Other Companies]
ASICS continues to sponsor Pride House Tokyo and participates in the ERG, a network of different industries and sectors with other sponsoring companies. Collaboration is being strengthened through various exchanges of opinions, information sharing, and participation of ASICS employees in joint training sessions.
ASICS remains committed to creating an environment where diverse human resources can fully demonstrate their capabilities and will continue the challenge of creating innovative products and services that provide new value to customers.
