ASICS Corporation (the “Company”) hereby announces that its subsidiary, Race Roster US, Inc., has signed an asset transfer agreement relating to registration platforms such as "GetMeRegistered", with SPay, Inc., a company providing race registration platform services in the United States, and also has signed an asset purchase agreement with another company (undisclosed) providing similar race registration platform services in the United States.
1. Reason for the Acquisition
“Expanding the Running Ecosystem” is one of the strategic priorities in the Mid-Term Plan 2026 of the Company’s group (the “Group”). The Group aims to enhance brand experience value by providing race-centered digital and personalized services and by fully supporting runners’ goals and self-realization.
GetMeRegistered is a platform that provides comprehensive services from race registration to results, primarily operating in Midwestern United States. It has also built strong and long-term relationships with various races, giving it a competitive edge.
The United States is one of the most important markets. This transaction will help expand reach among runners in the market and strengthen the running ecosystem. Additionally, this will accelerate efforts to enhance brand communication and increase product recognition. Through this transaction, the Group aims to solidify a strong presence as a race registration platform company in the United States. The Group also intends to improve services for runners by developing and expanding the running ecosystem and digital services.
