[1 December 2025 – KOBE, JAPAN] Today, ASICS announces the launch of the SWIFTACE™ YUKI shoe, tested with professional basketball player and ASICS Athlete Yuki Kawamura to create a basketball shoe for all players looking for speed on the court.
The SWIFTACE™ YUKI basketball shoes are designed to support quick and agile movements, mirroring Yuki Kawamura’s style of play. The shoes feature special touches from Yuki including his autograph on the shoe tongue and his signature phrase “Grateful for where I am.” on the tongue label – to ignite a ripple effect of positivity on the wearer.
The shoe features technology which works together to provide superior agility and speed. The two-piece midsole features FLYTEFOAM™ technology in the rear of the shoe and FLYTEFOAM™ PROPEL cushioning at the front. The combination of different materials provides stable, lightweight cushioning when landing and increased bounce during push-off. This is paired with SPEEDTRUSS™ technology which helps to boost acceleration and speed on the court.
Additionally, to increase agility, the outsole has been designed with an angled pattern to make it easy to turn and rotate.
The SWIFTACE™ YUKI shoe will launch with two distinct colorways:
Clear blue and evening teal
Black and red
Reflecting Yuki's passion for inspiring the next generation of basketball players, a junior model will also be available for younger players – the SWIFTACE™ GS YUKI.
The shoe has been designed with a kids-specific last that helps support growing feet and 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION™ technology in the midsole which molds to help kids control movement efficiently for a smoother transition to the next move. The shoe has been specially crafted to share a similar design to the SWIFTACE™ YUKI adult model, to help inspire younger players.
