KOBE, Japan (June 16, 2023) – ASICS today released its 2022 Sustainability Report, which summarizes the company’s progress towards medium- and long-term sustainability targets. Integrated in the VISION2030 and the Mid-Term plan, ASICS sustainability framework encompasses two main pillars— “People” and “Planet”—each driving sustainability actions in alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The headline result for 2022 is introducing the world’s lowest CO₂ emissions sneaker “GEL-LYTE™ III CM 1.951” emitting just 1.95 CO₂e per pair across its product lifecycle.
Yasuhito Hirota, President, CEO and COO, Representative Director of ASICS said, “Sustainability is a key theme as we work towards achieving our targets outlined in ASICS’s long-term vision “VISION2030”. To achieve a sound mind in a sound body, we need a sound Earth. We will work to create positive impact towards a more sustainable future.”
・Consumers & Communities
