New ASICS FF BLAST™ cushioning technology offers advanced durability and comfort for the wearer
[May 6th 2022 – KOBE, JAPAN] – Today, ASICS is proud to launch the GEL-CUMULUS™ 24, a versatile running shoe that provides upmost comfort for everyday runners covering a wide range of distance.
The latest shoe in the GEL-CUMULUS™ range features FF BLAST™ cushioning, a new ASICS technology which makes the shoe approximately 24 grams lighter1 than its predecessor while creating a softer landing and more energized toe-off in every step. In addition, a new ASICS LITE™ Outsole Rubber is strong and lightweight, helping reduce resistance against abrasions and allowing for a more responsive run.
To increase comfort, the bottom of the shoe features an improved heel fit and foam underfoot, allowing for a smoother feel. This combines with the upper’s engineered jacquard mesh to give the shoe more breathability, keeping the wearer’s foot cooler during runs.
The GEL-CUMULUS™ 24 shoe boasts a modernized design, with the silhouette of both the upper and midsole being updated to give the shoe a brighter and more exciting look.

The GEL-CUMULUS™ 24 running shoe will be available in men’s and women’s sizes at ASICS retail, online stores and specialty running outlets globally starting May 6th 2022. The GEL-CUMULUSTM 24 will retail for $120.

About the ASICS State of Mind Index
The State of Mind Index is a first-of-its-kind study conducted by ASICS which looks at the relationship between State of Mind and exercise around the world. The State of Mind Index is a score out of 100, calculated based on the accumulative mean scores across ten cognitive and emotional traits – including positivity, content, relaxed, focused and composed. Conducted by Edelman Data & Insights, the study was carried out among a total sample size of 37,000 respondents across 16 countries globally – nationally representative by age, gender and region in each market. The countries included in the study are Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UAE, UK & USA.
