ASICSTIGER brand today announced the launch of the new HyperGEL-LYTE™ footwear. Introducing ASICS sports performance technology to ASICSTIGER.

Originally released in 1987, this classic sneaker has returned with a new evolution, updated to give today’s wearer a fresh new design with uncompromising comfort and bounce that stays bouncier for longer.

The HyperGEL™ [1] midsole integrates foam and GEL™ technologies, previously only available to ASICS performance footwear designed for running and fitness. This addition offers cushioning and rebound, for all-day comfort and a lightweight ride, that wearers would associate with ASICS’ superior cushioning system.

Meanwhile, the beautiful, iconic design elements of the original GEL-LYTE™ model remain. The traditional tongue and collar, along with the conventional lacing system, fit the current trend for nostalgic sneaker style. Meanwhile, the visible beads of GEL™ technology seen in the midsole give a modern twist on the design.

The HyperGEL-LYTE™ model fits the current demand for high performance sports style in lifestyle footwear, without losing the iconic GEL-LYTE style – balancing the roots of ASICS heritage and modern technology.

About HyperGEL-LYTE™:

The HyperGEL-LYTE™ shoe includes a midsole with rebound and cushioning for all-day support. It reduces impact and preserves energy, allowing for improved comfort, endurance, and movement.

• Developed and tested at the Institute of Sports Science in Kobe, Japan

• Provides about 30% more bounce than standard EVA with excellent cushioning

• Restores its shape faster than other midsole materials offering consistent comfort for all day wear

• Each midsole consists of about 10-15% GEL beads made of GEL® brand technology, which is randomly distributed in each individual shoe.

• Iconic original design elements - soft padded tongue and collar lining, plus conventional acing system
