Irvine, CA (July 29, 2016) – ASICS Corporation is honored to announce that the newly launched, lightest-ever cushioning shoe, DynaFlyte™, has already received industry accolades, being named Competitor Magazine’s 2016 “Best Debut” in the August issue, available on newsstands now.

The ‘Best Debut’ article highlights ASICS’ patented FlyteFoam™ technology that significantly reduces the weight of the midsole without compromising cushioning. According to Competitor Magazine, “[DynaFlyte™] serves up a superlative ride, which is a mix of cushy, stable and responsiveness. The shoe feels low to the ground, but not in a detrimental way that many minimalist shoes feel. It’s a true cushioned high-mileage trainer with a speedy demeanor that’s more akin to a racing flat.”

“We are extremely pleased to receive this award from Competitor Magazine for the DynaFlyte™ model so soon after our global launch,” said Gerard Klein, Senior General Manager, Global Footwear Product & Merchandising Division, ASICS. “We are incredibly proud of this shoe and are excited to introduce more runners to our top of the line FlyteFoam™ technology. We spent nearly three years developing the technology with over 300 prototypes tested at our ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) and are confident athletes of all kinds will have an even better running experience as a result of this shoe.”

Earlier this summer, ASICS launched the new DynaFlyte™ footwear, designed specifically to unlock the potential to run faster by delivering a lightweight ride and effective cushioning. The FlyteFoam™ technology is built with reinforced fibers to maintain the cushioning and it is approximately 55 percent lighter than the industry standard EVA foam.

The DynaFlyte™ model comes in various color ways for men and women and retails for about $140.00. It is available at select specialty and sporting goods stores nationwide and online at www.asics.com.
