Relocation of ASICS Asia PTE.LTD. to Center of Singapore Strengthens its Sales Function as the Core of South East Asia Market

 ASICS announces the move of the ASICS Asia PTE. LTD. office to Raffles Place in Singapore’s central business district. The move is part of an effort to expand the company’s operations in the South East Asia region.

 ASICS Asia PTE.LTD., which formerly mainly provided marketing support, also commenced sales operations in January of this year. The company will serve as a base for sales and marketing operations in South East Asia that will help us achieve the goals set forth in our mid-term management strategy ASICS Growth Plan (AGP) 2015. The company will enhance sales and marketing efforts and boost the ASICS brand image in Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia, as well as taking further measures towards launching operations in other ASEAN nations. In the near future, the company is expected to serve as the regional headquarters for Asia (including India and Pakistan) and Oceania.

 Sales of ASICS products in South East Asia have in the past been handled through ASICS Oceania PTY. LTD., a controlling company acting as sales agent in the Asia-Oceania region.

 The new office will serve as a base of sales functions and is expected to help bolster business activities in South East Asia, primarily big sporting goods market Singapore as well as high-growth markets like Thailand. Marketing and promotional activities will also be quickly and effectively executed to further expand sales and strengthen the ASICS brand.

 ASICS Asia PTE.LTD. will not only increase the appeal of the True Sport Performance brand by offering high value-added products for runners but also prominently feature products for regionally-popular indoor sports like table tennis, badminton and netball. The office will also support major sporting events in South East Asia.
