Shibui means subtle in Japanese and perfectly describes Onitsuka Tiger’s new BURFORD sneaker.
The casual running-inspired shoe gives a nod and a wink to a classic artisan movement with roots in the town of Burford, England. Its understated style is a trait valued in contemporary Japan.
Rather than sporting bold, colourful Tiger stripes sewn onto each side, the BURFORD features skilfully perforated fine lines pressed into the material of the upper. A high-tech, solid running sole combines with an elegant upper to form a sophisticated fashion statement.
The BURFORD is a new and eclectic Onitsuka Tiger model that complements the Spring Summer 2014 collection.
BURFORD sneakers come in black, olive or soft grey suede, and premium tan or grey nubuck leather.
RRP for the suede BURFORD is €110 and for nubuck leather €130. The sneakers will be on sale as of December 1 at selected retailers.
