ASICS Establishes Local Affiliate in Bangkok, Thailand

ASICS Corporation (Headquarters: Kobe, Japan; President and CEO: Motoi OYAMA) announces the establishment of a local affiliate in Bangkok, Thailand. The new company was created to bolster sales of ASICS products and will begin operations in October.

Purpose
ASICS merchandise has until now been sold through its integrated company for the Southeast Asia and South Asia regions, ASICS Asia PTE LTD (Singapore). The new local affiliate in Bangkok was established to broaden relations with local retail agents. Establishing a new local affiliate will allow ASICS to bolster sales activities and expand local relations in order to further increase sales of ASICS products in the region. The local affiliate will also be able to more closely manage marketing activities in Thailand in order to build an even stronger brand.
