First Store in Chugoku・Shikoku Region Running Goods Specialty Store ASICS Store Hiroshima Opens
2013.06.21ASICS Corporation announces the opening of ASICS Store Hiroshima, a specialty shop offering ASICS brand running goods, on June 22 in Naka Ward, Hiroshima.
The store area is approximately 148 square meters, and sales of approximately JPY85 million are projected for FY13.
ASICS Store Hiroshima will be the company’s fifth domestic flagship shop, in addition to locations in Tokyo’s Ginza and Harajuku, Kobe, and Osaka. The Hiroshima store will be the company’s first in Japan’s Chugoku・Shikoku region.
ASICS Store Hiroshima is located in a central commercial district in Hiroshima, proximate to Hiroshima Castle in the city center and the Ota River riverbed. The scenery is beautiful and the area ideal for running. As a running specialty shop, ASICS Store Hiroshima offers a wide range of running goods for all levels of runners, from beginner to competitive, and as at other ASICS shops, ASICS Foot IT is available to precisely measure customers’ feet using three-dimensional imaging and to analyze running gaits. Shop personnel will be able to use this data to suggest shoes appropriate to the runner’s foot form and running style. Showers and locker room facilities are available within the shop for members, and running events will be held periodically for customer participation.
A number of marathon events, both big and small, are held in Hiroshima. Opening the service-added store in a pre-eminent central commercial district in the Chugoku・Shikoku region is intended to raise ASICS’s brand image in the region even further and expand sales.
