ASICS ELITE TRIATHLON ATHLETES TAKE TOP HONORS AT 2013 ITU WORLD TRIATHLON YOKOHAMA

Gwen Jorgensen (USA) grabbed the Gold medal with a time of 1: 57: 05; Emma Moffatt (AUS) got Silver Medal with a time of 1: 57:19; Ashleigh Gentle (AUS) was 4th with time of 1: 57: 52.

ASICS (Headquarters: Kobe, Japan; President: Motoi OYAMA) congratulates the elite triathletes on their incredible finish at 2013 ITU WORLD TRIATHLON in Yokohama, JAPAN at standard distance –swim 1.5km, bike 40km, run 10km.

The race was held in rainy conditions on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Jorgensen has seen a very impressive start to her ITU season with Yokohama as her second win. She recently took home first place at the ITU World Triathlon San Diego and is currently ranked a career high number one in the ITU World Triathlon Series. Former certified public accountant, Jorgensen is quickly making her presence known on a global scale for her outstanding triathlon abilities. She will continue to race in the ASICS GEL-LYTE33™ as she pursues more top podium finishes on the Continental Cup, French Grand Prix and World Triathlon Series circuits.

After Yokohama race, ASICS counts TWO of top three elite women in the ITU World Triathlon Series Rankings 2013: #1: Gwen Jorgensen, #3: Emma Moffatt.

In Yokohama, Jorgensen won the race with GEL-LYTE33™, Moffatt wore her special make-up of SORTIE JAPAN WS, Gentle was with GEL-DS SKY SPEED™ 3.
