ASICS Group (hereinafter, referred to as “Group”) is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and sales of various types of sports goods. The Group designed, and declares to continually revise, a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to address various threats which have the potential to disrupt business operations, changes in the economy and society, and so forth, in order minimize losses and avoid losing the trust of its valued clients.

(1) Addressing disruption of business

The Group declares to minimize the effect of the disruption of business operations by identifying:

・the threats

・the scope of the threats

・the critical business operations in order of priority

・a recovery time

・the actions and steps necessary to restore business operations within the recovery time

Moreover, the Group declares to immediately address any new threats which may arise in the same manner as listed above.

As of April 22, 2016, i.e. the date which this Third Edition was approved, the Group declared the scope of the BCP activities and measures to be the following.

a) Organization: ASICS Group (domestic and overseas affiliated firms)

b) Location: Sites of all domestic and overseas affiliated firms 

c) Focus: Business operations of all domestic and overseas affiliated firms.

(2) Awareness and Effectiveness

The Group declares to continually implement and conduct periodic BCP Education Programs and Training Exercises to:

・increase awareness of the importance of BCP’s among management and employees.

・enhance the effectiveness of the organization’s response capacity.

(3) Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines

The Group declares to create, implement, and apply BCPs to the business operations of all domestic and overseas affiliated firms in accordance with “The Good Practice Guidelines” (Business Continuity Institute) and the ISO 22301 “International Standard for Business Continuity management systems” (International Organization for Standardization).

(5) Continual Improvement

The Group vows to continually revise and improve the BCP to address any and all changes in the Group’s business operations as well as changes in both the domestic and international social conditions.
