Recognizing that environmental preservation is an important responsibility of our corporation,

ASICS is committed to meeting relevant environmental norms and standards and where possible, proactively tries to reduce the impact of our business on the environment.

We seek to work with business partners that share our commitment and ensure environmental sustainability performance is a standard criteria in our supplier selection procedures. Also by engaging with other stakeholders (NGO’s, other brands, research partners, trade unions) we aim to create open dialogue and work towards better working conditions and sustainability standards in our Industry. ASICS is one of the founding members of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and has been actively involved in the developments of its recently launched environmental sustainability index, the Higg Index.

Within the ASICS Group, our efforts on environmental sustainability are managed under the umbrella of an environmental management system.

For more than 10 years, this environmental management system aims to ensure continuous improvement on our environmental performance according to a Plan – Do – Check – Act principle. Many ASICS locations throughout the world are ISO 14001 certified and members of the ASICS Group regularly report on their environmental performance.
